The limited edition Celviano AP-245 features the latest A.i.R (Acoustic and Intelligent Resonance) tone generation system and an 88 note tri-sensor hammer action keyboard. A.i.R technology not only offers new and detailed piano samples but also re-creates the fine nuances of a real acoustic piano including damper resonance and hammer response. The resulting grand piano tone is of the highest quality setting a new standards in quality and value.
Key benefits of digital pianos are of course the fact that they don't need tuning and that, by their nature, they enable 'silent musicians' through the headphone socket – perfect for getting in some practice, without sharing your progress with the neighbours!
The tri-sensor keyboard accurately reproduces the fast repetition of notes, something a standard two sensor keyboard actions can sometimes fail to recognise. Another feature of the 3 sensor system is the 'Hammer Response' which replicates the slight delay from when a key is struck to when the sound is heard, another detail of a real acoustic piano. The simulated ebony and ivory key tops offer the luxurious feel and textured touch of a grand piano keyboard and help prevent finger slippage.
The Celviano AP-245 is impressively competent, featuring 18 different tones including grand piano, electric piano, strings and vibraphone, plus voices layering and keyboard split, and a range of effects such as reverb and chorus. For beginners there is a lesson function based around the 60 built in songs, and a digital metronome to help keep the player in time. The duet feature is another teaching aid, where the keyboard is split in a special way allowing two players (a teacher and student for example) to play in the same range across the keyboard. There are two headphone sockets so you can have your piano lessons in total privacy and because the instrument is digital it never needs tuning. For those wishing to connect to a PC there is a USB socket for MIDI communication and you can record your performance onto the built-in two track song recorder.
The elegant matt black cabinet houses a powerful stereo speaker system and features a sliding cover to keep out dust and little fingers whilst the three pedals cover all the acoustic piano functions, including sostenuto for the more advanced player. I went in store to browse as I haven't bought a new piano in about 15 years, and the person who helped me (Sorry, I didn't get his name!) was so so helpful and knowledgable. I purchased my piano and within a week got the call to arrange delivery the following weekend!
The piano is amazing, but unfortunately has an issue with one of the keys. And rather than sending someone over to fix it, the manager called me yesterday to say they'll arrange for the piano to be replaced with a new one!! He said he would be happy if a brand new piano already had an issue, so he'd rather I have a brand new one. Honestly, couldn't ask for better service and nicer people :) Thank you so so much.

Keysounds service was absolutely Fantastic, I can not rate them highly enough. The Piano I really wanted was unfortunately discontinued, they called me to explain in person and then managed not only find a preowned one that was in brand new condition but they found all the correct packaging so when I received it I thought it was actually brand new! That showed a level of care and customer service I haven’t seen for years! They also immediately refunded a portion of the cost which was a bonus as I could then buy the stool l wanted ( not from Keysounds )
