Pre-Owned Nord Electro 5D 73 Stage Keyboard
The Nord Electro 5D 73 is a highly versatile and portable stage keyboard designed for musicians who want excellent piano, electric piano and organ sounds combined with straightforward hands-on control. This pre-owned 73-note model features Nord's semi-weighted waterfall keyboard together with nine physical drawbars, making it particularly well suited to organ playing while remaining versatile enough for a wide range of live and studio applications.
The Electro 5 introduced the ability to split and layer two sound engines, allowing combinations including Organ + Organ, Organ + Piano, Organ + Sample Synth and Piano + Sample Synth. Six keyboard split points, three Live Slots and Set List mode make it easy to organise sounds and quickly move between setups during a performance.
The Piano section provides 1 GB of memory for the Nord Piano Library, covering Grand and Upright pianos, electric pianos, Clavinet and Harpsichord sounds. Piano sounds can be replaced using Nord Sound Manager, allowing the instrument's piano selection to be customised.
For organ players, the Electro 5D includes Nord's C2D B3 Tonewheel modelling together with B3 Bass, Vox, Farfisa and Principal Pipe organ models. The nine physical drawbars provide immediate control, complemented by percussion, vibrato/chorus controls and Nord's acclaimed 122 Rotary Speaker simulation.
A dedicated Sample Synth section adds another 256 MB of memory for sounds from the Nord Sample Library, while a comprehensive effects section provides tremolo, wah, phaser, chorus, flanger, amp simulations, overdrive, rotary speaker, EQ, reverb and delay.

The Electro series has always been popular with gigging musicians, and we think the Electro 5D 73 remains a particularly appealing model on the pre-owned market. It is remarkably compact and lightweight for a 73-note instrument, yet gives you an excellent selection of Nord piano, electric piano and organ sounds without surrounding them with controls and features you may never use.
For us, one of the big attractions of the 5D version is the nine physical drawbars. If you enjoy playing Hammond-style organ sounds, being able to reach out and change the drawbars while you're playing makes a real difference compared with navigating menus or using buttons.
The 73-note waterfall keyboard is also a good compromise for the player who wants more range than a 61-note keyboard without carrying a large weighted stage piano. At only 9.2 kg, this is an instrument we'd still be very happy to recommend to a working musician looking for a versatile and easily transportable keyboard.
