It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Mr. Seiki Kato, President and Representative Director of Korg Inc., who passed away on February 21, 2025, at the age of 67.
Born in Tokyo on March 28, 1957, Mr. Kato was the eldest son of Korg’s founder, Tsutomu Kato, and played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direction and success. For decades, he was a driving force behind Korg’s innovation, ensuring the company remained at the forefront of musical technology.
Under his leadership, Korg instruments became synonymous with quality, creativity, and musical expression, empowering musicians across the globe. His contributions helped shape the future of music, bringing groundbreaking instruments to life and earning him the deep respect and admiration of industry professionals, musicians, and colleagues alike.
