Yamaha CK OS 2.0 Update Released – New Sounds, Features and the CK76!
Yamaha has announced an exciting new operating system update for its popular CK Series stage keyboards, bringing fresh sounds, improved performance features and greater flexibility for musicians.
Yamaha CK OS 2.0 is available as a free download for existing CK61 and CK88 owners, as well as the newly launched CK76.
Whether you're performing live, recording in the studio or simply enjoying your keyboard at home, this latest update gives you even more creative possibilities.
What's New in Yamaha CK OS 2.0?
Three New Electric Piano Sounds
One of the biggest additions is three brand-new electric piano voices, bringing more character and expression to the CK range.
74 Rd Studio: A bright, full-bodied electric piano sound with plenty of attack and character.
67 Rd Bright/Dark: A distinctive vintage electric piano with contrasting tonal characteristics.
Wr Wide: An expressive reed-style electric piano, offering warm, mellow tones when played softly and a brighter response when played with more intensity.
These additions give CK players a wider selection of classic electric piano sounds, ideal for everything from jazz and soul to rock and pop.
16 New Live Sets
Yamaha has also introduced 16 new Live Sets, allowing musicians to explore fresh sound combinations straight away.
Eight Live Sets showcase the new electric piano voices, while the remaining eight feature a selection of synthesiser sounds, pads, brass, leads and special effects.
Live Sets allow players to quickly recall their favourite sounds, layers, splits and effects, making them particularly useful for live performances.
New Advanced Split Mode
Another major improvement is the introduction of Advanced Split Mode.
With OS 2.0, players now have much greater control over where sounds are assigned across the keyboard.
Individual parts can now cover multiple keyboard zones, allowing musicians to create more sophisticated performance setups.
For example, you could have a piano sound across the entire keyboard, with strings layered in the middle and upper registers, and an additional sound assigned to the lower section.
This is particularly useful for live musicians who need to perform several parts without switching between different sounds.
How to Download Yamaha CK OS 2.0
The new operating system is available free of charge from Yamaha.

The update is compatible with the Yamaha CK61, CK76 and CK88.

Introducing the NEW Yamaha CK76 Stage Keyboard!
Alongside the operating system update, Yamaha has expanded its CK Series with the introduction of the brand-new Yamaha CK76.
Sitting between the compact CK61 and the full-size CK88, the CK76 offers 76 semi-weighted keys, providing additional playing range without the size and weight of an 88-note instrument.
Weighing just 6.7kg, the CK76 is designed with portability in mind, making it an excellent choice for gigging musicians.
It features Yamaha's FSB semi-weighted keyboard action, authentic piano, organ and synthesiser sounds, built-in stereo speakers and hands-on controls for shaping your sounds during performance.
The CK76 also benefits from the new OS 2.0 features, giving players access to the latest electric piano sounds, Live Sets and Advanced Split Mode.
